5 Days Kidepo Valley Safari

Safari Overview

This Kidepo valley safari will take place in Kidepo national park which has one of the most amazing scenery in Uganda. The park is the most less congested park n the country, for it receives very few tourists giving its visitors a chance to have the park to themselves with no crowd at all. The park is famously known for its lions relaxing on the rocks. With luck, you can also spot other animals like cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes and then ostrich. Other attractions in this park include Kidepo river, and then the Iky and Karamajong people.

Day I; Arrival and Transfer to Kampala.

On your arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be met by our professional guide who will pick you and transfer you to fairway hotel in Kampala for your dinner and overnight stay. Depending on your arrival time at the airport, you will visit the Kasubi tombs which are the Buganda’s burial sites for the kings. The Kasubi tombs act as the cultural and religious shrines for the Baganda. It’s from this site that the Buganda’s previous five kings are buried. From here, you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2;   Ground transfer to Kidepo national park

You will start your second day with an early breakfast and get ready to start on your journey to Kidepo national park. It will take you more than 11hrs to reach Kidepo. You will have a stopover in Masindi fir your lunch and refreshments and then proceed with your journey to Kidepo. On your arrival at Kidepo national park, you will check in at Kidepo savannah lodge for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3;   Full Adventure Kidepo

You will wake up at your hour of convenience, have your breakfast and get ready to head into the park for the game drive through the Narus valley for an opportunity to view animals such as lions, herds of giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and others. There are chances of spotting leopards and cheetahs. The biggest advantage of this park is the fact that you will experience wildness with no crowds at all. You might find yourself alone in the park with no other tourist.

Day 4;    Exploring Kidepo national park

You will start your day with breakfast as usual and get ready to be picked for yet another amazing game drive. The main purpose of this park is to create an opportunity for you to catch on the animals that you might have missed out on your previous game drive, especially the rare animal such as the cheetahs and leopards. Making this second game drive an important activity. You will return to your lodge for dinner and afternoon relaxation. You will be picked in the late afternoon for a cultural tour to the karamajong people with the aim of learning their traditional beliefs and customs. The karamajong are known to be one of the most stubborn tribe in Uganda which has refused to adopt to civilization and still live their lives the way their ancient parents lived. From here, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5; Ground transfer from Kidepo to Kampala

You will start your last day with an early breakfast and get ready to start on your long journey back to Kampala with an en route lunch in Masindi town and then proceed with your journey to Kampala or Entebbe airport for your outbound flight and that will mark the end of our service.
