Akagera national park is located in the North Eastern province, Kibungu district and it inhabits animals such as zebras, lion, buffaloes, leopards, giraffes, rhinos, impalas and water bucks. The highlight of this park is game drives(both day and night game drives). Other activities experienced at Akagera national park include; Behind the scene, Fishing, Boat safari and cultural tours.

DAY 1 : ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK

On your arrival at Kigali airport, you will be welcomed by Alps professional guide who will brief you about your 3 Days Akagera And Nyunwe Flying Safari to Magashi Camp and help you board a helicopter that will transfer you to Akagera national park. This helicopter will land at Akagera game lodge. You will check in for lunch and afternoon relaxation. In the evening, you will be picked to go for a night game drive in the park to see animals such as the buffaloes, elephants, impalas, leopards, lion and others. At the end of the game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2; MORNING GAME DRIVE AND TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE

This is your second day on Akagera and Nyungwe safari. Nyungwe national park is located in the Southern province- Ruzizi area. Nyungwe is famously known for inhabiting chimpanzees making the park frequently visited by chimpanzee lovers. Apart from chimpanzees, the park has other attractions such as the famous unique canopy walk, Isumo water falls, golden monkeys, tea plantation and bird species.

Day itinerary: After having your morning breakfast, you will be picked to go for yet another game drive for an opportunity to catch on the animals which you could have missed out on during your previous game drive. You will head out of the park and proceed to Kigali town for your lunch and then proceed with your journey to Nyungwe national park. On your arrival at Nyungwe, you will check in at Nyungwe top view for your dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3; TRANSFER NYUNGWE – KIGALI

On your last day of Akagera and Nyungwe safari, you will have an early breakfast and get ready to be transferred to the park headquarters as early as 5;00am for chimpanzee trekking briefing. You will then head deep into the forest under the supervision of a guide for an opportunity to track these unique chimpanzees from a closer range.

This experience will last from 2-3hrs and its unique in its own way. While tracking the chimpanzees, you should look out for other primate such as the colobus monkeys. After this amazing experience, you will return to your lodge for an early lunch and then get ready for your helicopter transfer back to Kigali airport for your out bound flight and that will mark the end of our service
