5 Days Safari To Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison falls National Park is Uganda’s largest national park located in Western Uganda in Masindi area. The park is a home for animals such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, chimpanzees, not forgetting aquatic animals such as hippos and crocodiles. The park also has several bird species such as the shoe-bill, eagles and others. Murchison Falls Park has other attractions such as Budongo forest, Ziwa rhino sanctuary and the World strongest water falls.

Day itinerary

On your arrival at Entebbe airport, you will have a meet and greet experience with our professional guide who will welcome you into the country and transfer you to Boma hotel Entebbe for your afternoon relaxation. The guide will brief you about how your tour is going to run and then help you check in the hotel for your dinner and overnight stay. Boma hotel is Entebbe’s original and most exclusive hotel, located in leafy suburbs making your stay very calming.

DAY 2;      TRANSFER ENTEBBE – MURCHISONS

After having your breakfast, you will start on your journey to Murchison falls national park via Ziwa rhino sanctuary. You will have a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for an opportunity to see the Rhinos. This sanctuary is the only place in Uganda with the Rhinos and currently it has 22 rhinos. The sanctuary offers experiences such as rhino trekking, shoe bill trekking, canoeing, bird watching and night walks. Visitors here may also spot animal species such as Uganda kobs, bush bucks and water bucks. After this experience, you will have lunch at one of the hotels at the sanctuary and then proceed your journey to Murchison falls national park. On your arrival at Murchison’s, you will check in at Pakuba lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3;      FULL DAY MURCHISONS

You will start your day with morning breakfast and get ready for a game safari drive . This game drive takes place in the park in the Delta area, Buligi peninsular and the Northern section of the park also known as the heart of Murchison. The Delta area gives visitors a chance to see lions while the peninsular area gives them a chance to see elephants, antelopes, buffaloes and giraffes. From the Northern section, visitors can view animals such as lions, leopards, water birds and hippos. After this game drive, you will be transferred back to your lodge for lunch and refreshments. You will later be picked for a boat ride along the Nile and proceed for the 3hr Murchison falls boat safari and this launch runs from Para to the base of the falls. The 3hr return journey is a good highlight of a trip to Murchison falls. While on this boat safari, you will view animals such as hippos and crocodiles, not forgetting bird species such as the rare shoe-bill. At the end of this amazing experience, you will be taken back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4; FULL DAY MURCHISONS

You will begin your day with an early breakfast and get ready to be picked for yet another boat ride to the Nile delta. The Nile delta cruise is a must do for the birders and wildlife enthusiasts. This trip to Lake Albert delta gives visitors an opportunity to see a variety of birds and wildlife such as lions, and leopards. The 4-5hr boat trip starts at the rivers south bank and continues downstream to the wetland which is a home to the Shoe-bills and papyrus species. After this amazing experience, you will return to your lodge for lunch and rest of the day relaxation.

DAY 5;     TRANSFER MURCHISON – KAMPALA

After having your breakfast, you will get ready to embark on your return journey to Kampala. On arrival in Kampala, you will have your lunch at Serena hotel and then go to visit Kasubi royal tombs. These tombs are located on the Kasubi hill within Kampala and they are a major spiritual Centre to Buganda where traditional and cultural practices have been preserved. This site is the most active religious and cultural place in the Buganda kingdom from where rituals are performed. Kasubi royal toms are ranked a world heritage site by UNESCO because of its unique significance. After Kasubi tombs visit, you will be transferred to Entebbe airport for your flight and that will mark the end of our service.
