This safari shows the best of Akagera and Nyungwe national parks.Akagera national park is located in the North Eastern province, Kibungu district and it inhabits animals such as zebras, lion, buffaloes, leopards, giraffes, rhinos, impalas and water bucks. The highlight of this park is game drives(both day and night game drives). Other activities experienced at Akagera national park include; Behind the scene, Fishing, Boat safari and cultural tours. The highlight of this safari is focusing on showing the best of Akagera and Nyungwe national park.

Day 1; Arrival and transfer to Akagera park

On your arrival at Kigali airport, you will be welcomed by Alps professional guide who will help you

board a helicopter that will transfer you to Akagera national park. This helicopter will land at Akagera game lodge. You will check in for lunch and afternoon relaxation. In the evening, you will be picked to go for a night game drive in the park to see animals such as the buffaloes, elephants, impalas, leopards, lion and others. At the end of the game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2; Transfer from Akagera to Nyungwe 

Nyungwe national park is located in the Southern province- Ruzizi area. Nyungwe is famously known

for inhabiting chimpanzees making the park frequently visited by chimpanzee lovers. Apart from

chimpanzees, the park has other attractions such as the famous unique canopy walk, Isumo water

falls, golden monkeys, tea plantation and bird species.

Day itinerary

After having your morning breakfast, you will be picked to go for yet another game drive for an

opportunity to catch on the animals which you could have missed out on during your previous game

drive. You will head out of the park and proceed to Kigali town for your lunch and then proceed with

your journey to Nyungwe national park. On your arrival at Nyungwe, you will check in at Nyungwetop view for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day3; Transfer from Nyungwe to Kigali

You will have an early breakfast and get ready to be transferred to the park headquarters as early as

supervision of a guide for an opportunity to track these unique chimpanzees from a closer range.

This experience will last from 2-3hrs and its unique in its own way. While tracking the chimpanzees,

you will return to your lodge for an early lunch and then get ready for your helicopter transfer back
